Hi, I'm François!
I'm a full stack developer in Lyon. I like things simple, well structured and well made. My mantra: “Keep it simple, stupid”.
After a two-year degree in Valence and a master's in computer science at Université Savoie Mont Blanc, I joined Sopra Steria in 2016. I spent four years there, starting with Java and Spring Batch, then becoming technical lead and lead developer on a team of around fifty people across France and Spain: code reviews and audits, estimates, and welcoming junior developers.
I went freelance in 2020. Since early 2021, I've worked for Le Monde on Sirius (new tab), the CMS the group's newsrooms use to write and publish their articles. I work on the editor, real-time collaboration, the API and everything that keeps production running.
Outside of code
I'm curious about everything, especially things I don't understand: science and space 🔭, design, history and geography. I've always been a gamer, especially the kind of games you play for years. The rest of the time: skiing, climbing (seven years in a club), music and travel.
A project, a question? I'm always happy to chat : get in touch.
